Am I right in thinking that the Nonsuch results have been posted out today first class ? Some of us will therefore hear tomorrow so good luck to all of you waiting. Does anyone have any idea what the letters will say ? Judging by the posts re the Wallington results it seems the boys have been given a lot of very useful information - does anyone think we will receive similar ?

I am not expecting to receive my dd's results until Wednesday with the postal strikes. As I understand it, the sorting offices are on strike today and the delivery offices are on strike tomorrow.

It would be nice if we got the same information as Wallington. However, my understanding is that we will just be told if our daughters have met the pass mark.

Getting nervous

Hi,
this is from their site
Entrance Test for 2010

The results letter for the entrance test will be posted by 1st class post on Friday 9th October.

If you have not received your letter by Wednesday 14th October, you can collect a copy from the school office, between 9 – 4 pm.

I just received the letter and my DD scored 233. I am not sure whether this is enough to secure a place.

is that a pass?

I would think that if they give marks with 300 being the middle, then obviously your DD did not pass, sorry.
Probably the middle is 200, in that case your DD should be, my guess, pure guess, top 15%, if they were 1000-1500 sitting the test, top 150-225
my guess is that we have to congratulate you (if you are in the catchment)

The pass mark is 202 and the maximum is 280 and 607 were successful.

congratulations then :D (probably)

233 corresponds to top 13-14%, see here

http://www.nfer.ac.uk/nfer/research/ass ... scores.cfm

202 is a strange pass mark, I interpret it as top 45-48%, so with this theory there were about 1300 candidates

You are correct. There were 1288 people sat the exam.

aren't you happy?

my DD needs to get 240-245 points to get a place from out of catchment

can't wait to know
