Recommendations for good primary schools - Sutton Area

Post by QUEENMA »

Dear All
This may seem a bit of a regression given that this forum is for 11plus.We have a soon to start primary DS and am looking for good primary schools in the Sutton / Cheam /Banstead /Belmont area.Have heard good things about Avenue Primary and Cuddington Croft primary schools . Any thoughts /feedback or any more recommendations will be highly appreciated - we are looking specifically for state primary schools - also Catholic schools are auotmatically ruled out for us.

many thanks

Is Wallington too far out for you? Stanley Park Infants is a wonderful school.

The Avenue and Cuddington are both exceptionally good schools. They are both academic and very SATS / League Table orientated (it depends what you are after really. The pastoral side seems fine too).

We know people at both at both and have friends who teach at both.
Put it this way - they are the kind of schools that people lie about their address to get their children a place and both in the top 500 state primary schools.

I don't know about their catchment areas / sibling policies though so it would be worth checking this out as in Sutton and on the Surrey border (Cuddington is just over the border in the borough of Surrey not Sutton) many schools are filled up with people living very very close by.
