Tiffin boys waiting list

Hi , my son has a score of 226 and is ranked 13th for tiffin boys. About to send in a deposit for indie school .What should i do? Send him to the local comp. with his sibling who didn`t manage to pass? Send him to the indie, the comp. or hold out and hope enough people drop out so he eventually gets in to Tiffin? Trying to be optimisti for tiffin but in a recession I think I can`t guarantee it!

If you can afford it Anxious M, carry on as if he was going to the Inde (that's if you prefer it over the comp). DS'll stay on the Tiffin list anyway (I think) and if you get a place at Tiffin at some point you can decide then to lose your deposit or not. I'm not sure what the situation is if you prefer the comp, better check it doesn't mean losing the Tiffin place, then if it's OK start there and hope a Tiffin place'll turn up later on. Best of luck
