Nonsuch & Wallington Girls exam time letters

Seems to be getting close and I haven't yet had a letter telling me what time the exam will be. I don't want to deluge the school with emails - I expect they have plenty - so I thought I would ask here if anybody has their letter so that I know if I should chase or not.

Thanks in advance

If it helps at all, the Wallington Boys test is this Saturday and the letters arrived last week (so about 7-9 days before the test date)
The Wilson's test is next Thursday and those letters haven't arrived yet so it seems that some schools send the information with about a week to go. I don't know if the girl's schools are the same though.

Thanks for that. I'll wait another couple of days before panicking! When we applied to WCGS I sent the application off mid summer and got the exam time by return - which was a smidge of a shock! Clearly they have changed that now, but with only a week to go, and it being midweek, it would be nice to know so that I can arrange pick-up etc etc for the other kids if required. Ho hum.

I'm in the same boat and it is quick frustrating however there is now a note on the Nonsuch website stating that:

"Letters with details of Testing Day will be posted by First Class Post on Friday 16 September 2011."

Nothing on the Wallington site though.

Thank-you loads. I did look on the website this morning and didn't see that, so I wonder if their phone & email have gone into melt-down prompting a statement, or maybe my kids are right in their assessments of my abilities!

Leaves PLENTY of time to sort my life out - erm not. Does make you wonder what on earth the hold up is. Surely the simple approach for all concerned is to allocate a candidate number on receipt of the application, allocate a sitting and send out the letter! I guess they must be sorting them by some criteria. I wonder what!

Exam time seems to come round quicker every year!

DD2 (year 9) has to be at Nonsuch for 7.45am on testing day to help out whilst DD1 gets the day off. DD2 not impressed

Good luck to all sitting next week (and think about where you're going to park in advance - it will be crazy!!!!!).

It's even more frustrating for local residents, who are not told until the last minute that the dreaded day is about to arrive! the letter always says something like 'Parents have been warned that there is limited parking' - yeah, right, and they still totally ignore that and just park over everyone's drive in the two local roads.

I can imagine! We have a similar local issue once a year and it drives me nuts, but we do at least have PLENTY of warning.

Promise to come by train if at all possible, not just for you but for my own sanity.

Loopylou, Wilson's is on Monday 26th - there's a bit more on the website about it; letters to come next week apparently.

I contacted Wallington Girls yesterday and they replied saying the letters will be with us by the end of this week.
