I would be really interested to hear from those of you whose children passed Tiffins what the reaction is of those around especialy schools.

6 children took Tiffin from my sons Primary and all passed - everyone on this forum has been really supportive and most other parents around have congratulated the children.

However not a word from their teacher or the Head to any of us - parents or children. If anything there has been an atitude of "Don't be so arrogant" towards them from school. We are all a bit shocked to say the least - after all children are supported and congratuated in school for such a wide and varied variety of other stuff.

Is this your experience too? How have others fared?

Perhaps they think that you should congratulate them for getting your kids into Tiffin!

Seriously, perhaps they want to be fair to all the other kids and while it is an achievement it must be heart-breaking for those who didn't make it. To be honest I don't recall any teachers at our school congratulating us (though this was a while ago), and in fact some parents and kids were openly hostile although we played it down.

Don't waste time fretting, it is not important. Only another term left at the school and then Tiffin - think about that!

Maybe our experience differs, but all my childs form teachers and current teacher were in tears at the news and the Headteacher came to congratulate the following Monday. Every child was congratulated too at different times and appointments were offered for disappointed parents.
A fantastic school in every way!
