Post offer day letter from Wilsons-advice please!
Hi, not sure if anyone will be able to help with this one. My DS passed the Wilsons exam but we chose a different school as his first choice. However a letter came yesterday from Wilsons saying that if he wanted to be put on the reserve list I should call the Admissions Office. Does anyone know if this is a standard letter sent out to all boys who passed or am I reading more into this? Any advice gratefully received as I am starting to doubt myself...again! Thanks.....

Some of the GS are slightly naughty in that they do send letters to kids who have scored well. If you did go down that route then you would be put on the Wilson's reseve list - presumably quite high up, but no guarantee .
Have to be careful in these situations not to be taken in by flattery - remember why you wanted your first choice school in the first place!!!

Excellent point Herman!!! They are naughty! We went through all this in the October half term when we filled out the CAF! Still doesn't stop me wondering though......!

We got the same letter Trotter and dismissed it. We don't want to go on the waiting list and crowd the waiting list! We got what we wanted.
