11 Plus Exams Forum

DS starts Y7 this September - is anybody able to tell me if boys in Year 7 are likely to be doing anything with the school during school holidays-such as trips or anything to do with sports etc? I don't want to go ahead and book a holiday if it is going to clash with a school thing which DS then wants to do!
Am I better off waiting as it may depend on what sports teams he makes it onto?
Or do Tiffin tend to 'close down' for the holidays?
Any guidance appreciated.

Schools usually give year's diary/calender at the begining of the academic year. I think it would also be appropriate to check with the Form Teacher.

Having said so, many of our friends with DSs at Tiffins don't seems to have any problem in travelling during school holidays, especially during the early years.

Hi I am aware that the choir travels in the holidays. I understand there were trips to Australia last summer and China / Korea next summer. Latvia too in the past.
