Received email too, DS didn't make it. :(
No indication of how he scored either as they have said they do not give the scores.

Sorry to hear that sgsgirl. Hopefully you've had better news with other results - did DS do all the Sutton schools?

Sometimes it just seems so random who passes and who doesn't - it really does feel like a lottery :?

Thank you 2outof3, he didn't make Sutton either so I'm just sticking it out now with the results of Tiffins and Wilsons. To be honest I'm quite deflated now, not sure what to expect...

Best of luck, sgsgirl, for Tiffin & Wilson. Our DCs have done lot of hard work and it will pay off at whichever school is lucky to have them.

We didnt make it either :?
Hope ds takes it well..
Competition was great..
I'm glad I went through this though...
For a first timer I can say I learnt alot about what is to be expected, and can say with or without grammar school ds will now be better prepared to handle the academic jump from primary to secondary wherever he goes.

It's strange isn't it that Wallington passed 100 or so less boys than Sutton did out of similar numbers taking the test. I know Sutton have second round testing, but that is for ranking purposes only, so shouldn't affect the number who actually passed.

Anyone got any views on why that might be the case?

Yes that's a point. I have read on another thread regarding the Wallington girls results that approx 700-800 girls got a reply stating they are of selective ability out of approx 1500.
