Tiffin Format

Post by ClappedOutMum »

I Know its all a little late to be asking these sorts of questions, but as test day is next Tuesday, can anyone shed light on some questions.

I know its two tests, each of 80 questions over 50 minutes. But

1. Does the room (he is in sport hall) have a big clock at the end for time keeping, or do boys have to rely on their own watches.

2. Do invigilators give little warnings like: "half way through", "10 minutes left", "2 minutes left" and so on. Or are they left to their own devices.

As with all DSs its timekeeping/speed that I am worried about and want to try and get the last weekends practice as similar to the real thing as possible.

Thanks for any help/advice!

Though DC doesn't remember exact details now, but think there was a clock as well as time warnings were given halfway (25 mins) and 10 mins before end.

Always better to take own wrist watch; DC was not used to wearing one. So kept one visible in the clear plastic pencil case on table. Could glance at it while working on the question. had finished VR early and had some time to check few of the answers. NVR was time pressured. Managed to finish just in time.

Good luck.....

Will try to jog DC's memory later. But perhaps some other parent would remember the sequence of the papers.

Looked at FAQs but when is says results are emailed does anyone know whether this is just a 'you have met required standard to be considered' or will it be a mark out of 140 for each of VR/NVR or is it a rank of where he is out of 1700 taking it! Thanks. And yes, it is exhausting trying to keep on top of it all. A friend had the Wilsons stuff ready to take with them last Friday instead of all the stuff for Wallington. Oh well at the least The Bentall centres shops should do Ok tomorrow.
