Looks like it as they are starting to sell out and probably most of them will be full soon...

Slough grammar schools:
Last date for registration: 20 June 2014
Test on: 13 Sep 2014

The tests in Slough have changed to CEM; not compatible with tests taken by Tiffins/Sutton grammar schools.

Great thanks! Will give the Open Day a miss I think, been advised against going to it as can be quite a negative experience apparently.

Your DC will know the competition. Go early, skip the head's blah blah, too much crowd, but you would still like the orchestra and other work in class rooms.

Advice was to give it a miss, then when (if) he achieves a sufficiently high enough score to ring up and ask for a personal visit claiming absence during the open day - which I am told they have been happy to do previously.

I still think it's worth going. As long as you don't try to get anywhere near the science or maths departments. They are always mobbed. We hung around having a nice chat in Art and DT when we went. And as Tiffinboys rightly says you can size up the competition.

Thank you for the advice, and we will think about it. Certainly would aim to get there early, if not first in!
