The consultation they put out originally proposed an increased admissions number starting in 2015 (150 in Year 7 increasing to 180 in Year 7).
As far as I know this still stands and the increase would be for the next round of applicants but I may have missed an update along the way.

The letter they sent out on July 2013 said:
The Governing Body and Trustees of Wilson’s School are consulting on their proposal to
expand the School from its current five forms of entry (150 students per year group) to six
forms of entry (180 students per year group) in 2015. Furthermore, the Sixth Form of the
School will increase as the additional students in the Lower and Middle School progress into
the Sixth Form after taking their GCSE’s. We anticipate that the final maximum size of the
Sixth Form will be 380.

How odd. Wilson's website still says 150 for boys sitting the test in 2013:
Where the number of eligible candidates for admission exceeds the admission number of 150, places will be allocated according to their position in the rank order of the entrance examinations. Where candidates have the same rank order and where the admission of all would exceed the number of places available, places will be allocated in the following order:
Maybe they had a last minute change of heart when the consultation closed in September?

180 places? That would make the odds even better.

420 seats in the 3 Sutton boys grammar schools. Fantastic position to be in for the 424 children who passed the Wilson's test.

Indeed. The independent boys' schools in the immediate area (Trinity and Whitgift for example) also offer some of the most generous bursaries and scholarships around. It is almost certain that potential Wilson and Wallington candidates will opt to go the independent route if made an offer they cannot refuse.

Its a very good position to be in.
All the children who did not pass wilson can focous on sutton grammer second round as
sutton test will have minimum competition

out of 799 ; atleast 200 if not more will be out of competition as they will be offerred placess at wilson/st.olaves/QEb and others.

Think some people are mixing up the years, the consultation is for Sept 2015 starts.
Schools need to publish agreed admissions in April about 16 months ahead, so consultations are usually 18-23 months ahead

That was my understanding too snowdaddy until today - that any increase in admission numbers applies from 2015 - but Ladymuck has cast doubt on that.

As she states, the admissions booklet says there are 180 places to be allocated at Wilsons in September 2014. The booklet definitely says 180 and it is definitely just aimed at children transferring to secondary school in 2014.
