Thanks for the words of wisdom everyone ! I am going to try and put it all into perspective and forget about it now (until February!)
Good luck to all your daughters, I am sure with the supportive parents that we all clearly are, they will all succeed no matter where they end up at school.

I am still having some difficulty understanding what a standardised score is.
Does it mean that half the girls have got more marks than the midpoint between the pass mark and the highest score and half have got less?
Many thanks

Does anyone know what the highest score was last year?

I've seen on this forum that the IC cut off was 209 and the OOC cut off was 230 with the lowest score to pass was 198, but I haven't seem anything about the highest score last year.

I'm just wondering if there was a large variant in the scores last year. It seems to me that there is a big difference between the highest score of 406 and the lowest score to pass of 259 this year.

Thanks to anyone who can help.

Could have been in the region of 270 to 280. How does that help?

Thanks Tiffinboys! You have helped so much by providing your estimates of cut off scores.

It helps me to while away the time until 2nd March with idle speculation :-)

I don't actually mind too much whether DD gets into Nonsuch as her first choice on the CAF or her 2nd choice local comp (very borderline on catchment area!). But I don't really want any of the other options on our CAF due to distance.

Just can't bear the waiting and not knowing ;-)

Time flies. Less than 16 weeks to go. Really a good time to enjoy with the children while they are still kids.

I justed wanted to say that my daughter got into Nonsuch last year and I went through the same pain alot of you are dealing with now.

It is a great school and everything we had hoped it would be. My Daughter is blossoming as a person not just as an academic.

If you can get a place then grab it with both hands.

good luck

Has someone received a letter from nonsuch. A friends DD received a letter few days back from Nonsuch, they said they did all the marking again. Because there was a mistake in marking. They have increased her scores. How can this possible?
