Ladymuck has given a very balanced view. If you are fairly local, I don't see much in relocating, unless you believe in few points difference in league tables means a lot.

But if you are not local and would eventually want to relocate for any of these schools, then QE is an option. For the sake of not repeating the pros/cons of QE, perhaps you could look for the recent threads in Herts section. Some QE parents find the school to be best of the best and they even have pool, quite unusual in state secondary schools. Some other have realized later in the process that the style of education followed by the school doesn't suit their DCs, or they were not allowed to do the subjects they wanted to do despite A grade in GCSE or they had to leave the school despite having such excellent grades that other schools were ready to admit them whole heartedly and children flourished there. So research carefully before committing to relocation. Hope you would make a good choice. Good Luck.

Just to add that WCGS do Latin as well as Classics.
