New head for Nonsuch

As it's already appeared in the local online press, it's probably safe to report that the current head of Nonsuch has been sacked for "unprofessional and inappropriate conduct" as well as "serious breaches" in applying safeguarding procedures.

I'm sure there will be lots of gossip about this, but from experience, I'm pretty certain the rest of the leadership team will do a great job of steering the school through until a new head is appointed.

Not a great day for the school though :(

It's a real shock. I wonder if we will find out what it actually means. As you say, there is a good leadership team. However 2 HTs leaving under a cloud does raise questions.

sacked or suspended ?

A short article (which provides very few additional details) can be found at http://www.yourlocalguardian.co.uk/news ... _conduct_/.

Agreed. The governors will have to look long and hard at the eventual list of applicants to make sure that the school has a settled period of headship. We're almost on our way out after being there for seven years already but I hope the school finds someone who can match up to Mrs Espejo (who was the school's head for many years and is still missed.)

my best friend's daughter is doing her final year at nonsuch, and not happy with school at all. She's written 2 page long letter of complaint, shame the Head will not be around to read it.

Do you happen to know what she wasn't happy with?

Catseye he's been sacked. There is nothing temporary about it. Presumably his actions were deemed sufficient to warrant summary dismissal but we're unlikely to know what those actions were. (Though the gossip vine at the school is already in overdrive.)

I think that these kind of comments 'my best friend's daughter...... Not happy with school etc...'
are not helpful in these circumstances and I find that they add to my inner worries and anxieties. These comments are also not related to what is happening at the moment. I have three children and all of them are in different schools and if you were to ask me I could give you at least one if not two pages of things that I am unhappy about on each of these schools. My daughter is in year 7 at Nonsuch and so far I am happy with school. This is a really difficult time for Nonsuch staff and they have my full support.
