2017 Admission Help

Post by Ardain »

Hello,

I am new to posting on this forum and am hoping I can ask for some valuable advice on finding an excellent English tutor to assist my daughter currently in year 4 to give her the best support to enhance her ability in English for entry to WHSG in 2017
Coming from the North I do not feel very comfortable with the tutor search websites due to my lack of knowledge with them, therefore would really appreciate a personal rec from some experienced parents who have already been through this process. If possible a really good English tutor who has success with entrance examinations and who would ideally travel to the CR8 postcode but of course happy to take my daughter across if they do not travel.
From what I understand it is very hard to find out about the productive tutors as they are already full with returning parents or details are very protected but if anyone would be so kind to help me in this search I would be so grateful for the guidance and help.

I understand that on this forum you cannot rec openly but if someone is able to send me a private message to help guide me that would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you all in advance :)

We try to keep the forum as safe as possible - we don't allow tutors to be openly recommended, because it attracts posts with fake recommendations ('dodgy' advertising solely designed to solicit business on the internet).
It is also not unknown for unscrupulous competitors to 'plant' negative posts, seeking to denigrate the opposition!

Genuine recommendations from forum members by PM only (private message) are permitted - but be aware of the possibility that someone who appears to be a 'helpful parent' offering advice may not be all they seem! There could be an ulterior motive.

Always treat recommendations from unknown persons with great caution.
However, we have many long standing members - check carefully the date of joining and number of posts) - who make a very valuable contribution to the forum. If you receive a private recommendation from one of them, it could be worth considering.

Please let us know if you think anyone is abusing the system by soliciting for business or 'spamming'.
It's easy to report a possible problem - just click on the red exclamation mark that appears with every post and PM: Image
