Selective Eligibility Test - marking of papers

Did people receive email with above topic today ?
Following recent checks, we have discovered a technical issue with the marking of a batch of Maths papers at one of the boys’ schools. We wish to reassure you that the issue has been addressed and all relevant papers re-marked. Those who have been affected have been contacted directly.

We can confirm that the original letter you received was correct and that there has been no change to the outcome of the Selective Eligibility Test for ....
It's seems a real mess. How many boys affected and in both ways(not called for 2nd round/called for 2nd round but were actually not eligible)

Yes I did. An absolute farce. While I'm happy my ds has passed I'm so annoyed at the schools. He's been devastated and demoralised since the results because he worked so damn hard only to be told he hadn't made it. Now he has two days in which to pick himself up and do the harder stage 2 exams. I really think the affected parents should do a mass appeal and really take the schools to task. There has to be some leniency or leeway for these affected boys.

Ridiculous, but at least a mistake is being rectified. More time needs be given before sitting for stage 2 tests, with different papers, even if that means result being informed after CAF deadline.

We got a letter suggesting that a set of papers were mismarked(!!) and that our son has passed.. While we think it is ridiculous for the consortium schools to make mistakes in their assessment and should have run their assurance procedures before declaring the results, atleast they were humble enough to accept the mistake!!

Did everyone whose DS got through the first round receive yesterday's email about "mismarked maths paper" or was it sent out to only those who were affected?

Absolutely abysmal. Hopefully, those responsible will be aware that some of the children involved will have gone through h-ell and high water ; some will have experienced severe personal pressures, others will have suffered at the hands of despotic parents. Utterly, utterly unacceptable. Imagine what pupils in those very Grammar Schools would be put through if they were guilty of similar lapses. Unforgivable.

The sense of bewilderment and outrage seems to have drowned out my question regarding yesterday's e-mail going to everyone or only to those affected. Would be grateful if someone could shed light whether the e-mail was sent to everyone or only to individuals who have been affected by the mistake.
