Quite. That's 4 hours travel plus 8 hours at school, which leaves 12 hours for after-school activities (probably none possible in such cases), homework, dinner and sleep. Oh, I forgot to account for breakfast time, but maybe they just have packed sandwiches they eat on the train in the morning.
