My son has not cleared in Sutton and Wilson. Can anyone let me know the chances of getting into Wallington county grammar school?
As we don't know the score, getting really difficult for us to find out. Our first preference is Wallington.

Exactly same has happened to my DS , He has only cleared Wallington boys not wilson or sutton. Have

to call LA and find out what chances are there.

You can give the LA a ring but I'd be really surprised if they tell you anything.
It's entirely possible that your son has done really well on the SET.
SGS use 40% of the SET marks towards the final score and Wilson's 20%.
That being the case a blip in the second stage could mean you don't pass that but may well still be high up on SET scores.
Do bear in mind although 950ish sat part two there are a lot of places up for grabs across all three ( ? 540).
A significant number will have Tiffin and St Olaves passes and just use Sutton as a back up.
Then there are people seeking indie places that use it as a mock.
I think a year or two ago Wally boys ran out of people who had passed the SET and contacted parents after March 1st asking them to apply.
I might be wrong about that. Would be worth looking at old threads.

However there is a confusion, Sutton grammar school mail states the SET standardised scores of both English and Maths for all unsuccessful children.
But those marks does not seem to be actual marks, as the sum of those scores are far less than 215.
Wonder what marks were they?

To work out the final results, Nonsuch High restandardized the SET marks against the cohort that sat the second stage.
This results in a much lower score for the SET component in the second stage if you were below average amongst those who passed.

Could that be what happened?

You have six options on the CAF.

If Wallington is your first choice, all you can do is put it first on the CAF and if your son is illegible for a place based on his SET score, he will be offered one, otherwise he will be placed on the waiting list.

In reality, there is nothing more you can do between now and March; all the boys are in exactly the same position and even those who met the required standard for all three school are not guaranteed a space at any of them.

I have known several cases of boys who have only cleared Wallington and then got a place in the school, so your son has a good chance of getting a place.

Thanks Gringo64 and 4mykids for your replies. That is a bit relief to us.
We were in kind of shock since yesterday, as this is really unexpected news to us.
He was through in Kent schools and will be getting a place in skinners bases on his score. But we are not interested in this as we need to move the home. Wallington is nearer to us and we need to think about my second son as well.
Just wishing things should work in our favour.
