Hi there,

I understand the school don't publish past papers for their VR and NVR exam. Which papers should I get for my daughter to practice? I'm really confused - there are so many different types of VR and NVR out there - Bond, GL, C etc

Thank you!

Firstly get the basics right. Use Bond Assessments books, age appropriate. Once techniques have been learnt, use IPS books for VR to consolidate, then Bond Practice Papers and finally GL papers.

Also doing Susan Daughtry’s graded VR books and CEM Cloze type questions will give added exposure to different types of questions.

Edited to add:
Another thing, my DD felt these tests were not really difficult. Interview was friendly and easy going, in group.

All the best.

The Wallington High School for Girls entrance test does not include verbal reasoning or non-verbal reasoning, the tests include maths and English only.

Ah, OK, in that case you can ignore my previous post as I don't know anything about the Wimbledon entrance tests :wink: . I believe the school you are asking about is an independent school, you may get more responses in the independent schools forum. Good luck!

I am just a parent; not some good old tutor. :lol: :lol:

WHS = Wimbledon High School

Just a parent here too. I thought WHS= WH Smith and was about to recommend their great KS3 maths book.

tiffinboys- can I just ask what the 'creative problem solving' task was when your daughter dis WHS? Seems like the biggest secret in the world!

Still a secret to me. DD took the test nearly two years ago.
