Wow, brilliant, thank you so much stateschoolman :D !

I am relieved to see that in the previous 3 years my DD's score would have secured her a place at Nonsuch on 1st of March, fingers crossed no big fluctuations in entry scores this year.

What I find surprising is that the year 2017 IC score was 254 on 1st of March and was still 254 in September, yet there is a big difference in the score between the OOC score on 1st of March (310) and September (283) in 2017...does that mean that all of the IC DD's who were offered a place at Nonsuch on 1st of March 2017 accepted the place and further IC places didn't become available from the waiting list?

Now just need the same info for Wally girls  !

Thank you stateschoolman!

That is so helpful!
Crossing fingers for a repeat of the last two years. 2015 seems to have been an outstanding year!

Yes any information on Wallington Girls would be gratefully received.

I can't take credit for the FOI request.

That same kind person has kindly raised another FOI request for WGS, currently pending :-

Thanks all the same. It has given me more hope than I had previously as an OOC candidate. Does anyone know if the schools tell you where you are if you are on a waiting list?

This data also confirms that 288 is not the IC cut off score in 2017 as has been posted on this forum. The DD who got a place from the waiting list in May 2017 with a score of 288 must have been an OOC candidate and not IC as they thought. This is very useful. I thought my daughter had no hope whatsoever of a place with 257 (IC) but perhaps there is a chance, although I expect the cut off may fluctuate quite significantly depending on the makeup of the particular cohort each year.

I think it's difficult to take anything from the results prior to 2017 though, as I believe Wallington and Nonsuch had separate exams then.

Can anyone confirm the number of children who sat the second stage exam in 2016 (for 2017 entry)?
It would be interesting to know how the cohort size compares to this year, as any given standardized score will be ranked lower if the cohort is larger (eg a score of 300 (average) would be ranked approx 482nd among this year's cohort of 965, whereas in a cohort of 800 a child with a score of 300 would have fewer children above them and would be ranked 400th).

Thanks sunshine girls! This years letter states: Of the 965 candidates who sat the NWETSSEE, 849 passed all three components...

So no big difference in the number of girls who passed the 2nd stage in 2016 and 2017.
