Finally received the Offer from our LA today. Surprisingly it is a letter and not online like the first allocation on 1st Mar.
And it only talks about accepting the offer for TGS; nothing about how to turn down the previous offer from Non Such!! Does this mean that once the LA receives our confirmation for TGS, they will automatically let Non Such know? Or do we need to somehow notify the school about this?

Presumption is that your LA will inform home LA and they in turn will inform school.

However, once you accept TGS, as a courtesy, inform Nonsuch so that their WL movement would be expedited.

This is where the snail pace part of the system kicks in.
You inform LA, they may enter it on the London wide system hours or days later (not sure how manual this is), in turn it flags acceptance and voids the existing offer, this then goes to the two schools. Not sure if it goes via schools LA or copies them in. School then makes new offer by post (some phone first to check you are still interested then advise offer following on).

Of course if you could accept online, everyone would know in milliseconds, and next on waiting list of School turned down could be offered automatically. But that might be too efficient for LA admissions. (they have a legal duty to ensure everyone has School place). Presumably not in LA staff interest to make process 100% computerised as they would put themselves out of a job.
