Hi Heatherj

There are lots of WCGS boys who use the X26 from New Malden/Worcester Park. In fact there are now so many that the bus is painfully full by the time it gets to Worcester Park so my own DS has decided that he would rather use the 627 (with a quick walk up from Carshalton High Street).

The obvious advantage in getting the bus in Teddington is that it won't be full but your DS would have to get to the stop painfully early - before 7am  I think that's quite a tough ask unless your DS is naturally an early riser.

WCGS is a lovely school and my DS has had 5 fantastic years there (hopefully culminating in some decent GCSE results in August  .) However, I would say that there are definitely downsides in living that bit further away - the worst for us being that DS doesn't have many friends nearby that he can easily socialise with. If you can move a little closer then it's probably to be recommended.
