Does any one know the cut off score for the Stage 1 test? I am wondering then we can use mock test results to see whether we need more practice to be get through the 1st Stage!!
Thanks

The scores are standardised so there isn't a pass mark as such. The schools will decide how many children they want to take forward to the next round and set the cut-off so they have the right number. IIRC, in previous years roughly the top third or so have got through to stage 2.

I think it would be wrong of you to use the SGS mock test to gauge the precise performance of the child.
Remeber that the ranking is done on the cohort of children that took the test when the actual test is done it will be a different set of children hence the result will be different. Also, there is another 3 months to go so there will be some movement in children's performance specifically from the ones that did not do as good as they expected.
Take the result as a rough indication of where your child is in relation to all the other children that will take the test in Sept.
