Last minute prep or chill?

Post by ilovemykids2018 »

Hey

Just wondering what everyone else is up to a week before 1st stage tests - I have decided to let DD chill out now - she has worked hard all summer and not sure if cramming in at this stage is of any use.
She reads daily for about 30 mins.

What are others doing?

Hiya

We are not doing as much as we did in the summer - so in that sense more chilled, but stress levels are still high :?

At the moment with my DD we are doing a few 10 min tests, reading and going through a vocab book - but that's it.

Evening activities and clubs have resumed so its difficult to do anymore after a school day.

I would suggest just go through the mistakes done in the old tests. Idea should be just improvements over the past mistakes and clarify those concepts which need a bit of fine tuning.

We are only doing only 1/3 of the level of work we did in the summer!
Trying to reduce the stress level.

Not much can be learned now

In the last day or two you are unlikely to add more than one point to their score....but you could increase by 5 or 10 marks just by being relaxed, calm and focused.
(That better not be double "s" !!)
