Tiffin Girls stage 1 test info?

Post by KingstonMama »

Does anyone know when we will know info about the Tiffin Girls 1st stage test (e.g. time, where exactly to go etc)?

I take it no one has heard from them yet other than to confirm the forms were received back in the summer?

I got my letter this morning too!

I was surprised to see how early they have to arrive (8am) considering the finish time and length of papers. I guess perhaps due to sheer numbers it takes a very long time to check them in and seat them. And the seat number was two thousand and something?!

8am does sound awfully early, they need to be there for such a long time!

We were in the same boat year. There is a long queue and it takes a while just to get all the DDs to be inside the school. Also be mindful that there isn't much parking available on the side roads near the school. The best option would be to park in Seven Kings and either walk or take the bus.

Does anyone know from previous years if the exam is more GL or CEM style?

Thanks squareofthewicket I was thinking about doing that, so that has helped me decide! Just have to work how to get my younger child to school in the opposite direction at the same time and I'll be sorted!!!

Do you think a bus from Kingston station would be too rammed? I'm trying to decide whether to do the whole thing by public transport or drive up and park a short bus ride away.

Hi,
The buses are crowded in the mornings. I would suggest you drive towards Ham and park the car in any of the side roads off Dukes Avenue, which is free. It will take only ten minutes to walk from there.
