Does anyone know how these two exams compare? As far as I can see they both have multiple choice for Maths and English. My DD sat the Sutton SET week before last and has the Tiffin Girls stage 1 this coming week and I just wanted to prepare her for any differences. I've heard that the Tiffin exam may be even more time pressured but would love to hear from anyone whose DD have gone through this already.

Look at the Tiffin website. There may be some info. Last year the ‘multiple choice’ wouid have been better described as OCR. For some questions, rather than A,B, C,D,E you had to select each digit of the answer ie there were ten options for each digit. So, say for example the answer was 245, you had to select 2 (from a column of 10 options), then 4 (from a column of 10 options) etc. We knew to expect this, as an example was given on the website.

My daughter actually found the Tiffin exam easier than the SET last year, yet passed SET, but not Tiffin. There were a lot of spelling questions in the Tiffin exam, which I think was her downfall.
