That's interesting, it looks like TGS keeping same W/L position for same marks. I did try to contact with school but TGS referred to the email sent on the 3 April and clearly mentioned that school is not in a position to issue updates on waiting list position. So it seems, there is no way we can get an official update on the revised W/L, unless we hear an update from this forum.
Does the school manage its own waiting list from immediately after the initial allocation of places (which must be made by the school's maintaining LA)? Or does the LA handle the list from March 1st and then hand over to the school, usually about now? The school 'not being able' to give any information re waiting list position (unless during a predetermined 'embargo' period after National Offer Day, while the acceptance or declining of offers is being processed) would indicate the latter? In which case, the place to ask would be the LA. 'Not being able' to give the same information if the former seems a little disorganised or at least unhelpful.
As far as I can tell from what people have posted here over the years, the school manages its own places. The required information is released in March, then waiting list positions are shared with those who request the information (often divulged after Easter). In May or so, they shift to “Don’t call us, we’ll call you - our focus is now on current students and those who have accepted offers.” This is all done fairly brusquely, no doubt to discourage endless questions. The school is efficient though and once you’re in, communications are welcoming, clear and frequent.

Quick update for future years; we were offered a place original March position WL 21 score 103.3 on the 21st of August (during the school holidays) via our council however we did not hear anything from the school due to COVID and holidays (causing minor panic that perhaps it had been an error) until 01/09 late afternoon confirming the place.
Congrats to all those who also have recently been offered a place! This forum has been so invaluable in helping manage stress levels and expectations - particularly through this rather unusual year. Thank you all.

My DD has been offered a place today at TGS, she was at WL #23 (initial). No doubt, this forum was key to get the updates for the past few months..

Great news. So delighted for the new joiners! So the WL did move quite a bit in the end, just not as fast as usual. Well done all the girls!

Congrats to chakrs1 and your DD. Your turn has come today.
Hopefully, we are the next in the queue as were also on initial W/L 23.

We received an email from TGS offering a place for my DD (initial W/L #23 with a score of 103) this afternoon followed by an email from Hounslow Council.

There were some delays in the admission process this year because of the pandemic and the school staff getting involved in the GCSE/A level grades.

Thanks to all the members who have contributed and shared valuable information giving an insight for parents like us who have been eagerly waiting for a place in TGS.

Good luck for all the other parents who are still waiting.
