I was wondering how many questions there are in the Selective Eligibility Test for English and Maths. (ie. for the multiple-choice papers in the 1st stage). Please does anyone know? I have read that the exam papers take 40-50 minutes each but have no concept of how much time on average is allocated per answer. Thank you.

Some indication might be found in last 2 or 3 years old threads.

Some questions take less than 60 seconds to answer whilst some take may up to 90-120 seconds but on average it's around a minute a question from my feedback I got from my DD.

Thank you, Tiffin.
Thank you, Rocky. I have now found an example of the SET answer sheet on one of the Grammars’ website. This would indicate that there are 50 questions (at least some of the time!), which is consistent with the feedback you got from your daughter.

My son did Sutton tests in 2018 and he had 50 questions in Stage 1. These were all multiple choice questions.
