Thank you Bridge, yes its a bit disappointing to be honest.
The time manage and stress were the biggest problems.
But I have really great feedback from her teacher this year, she is doing great and her teacher is so impressed.
I think at least all the effort has paid off.
The big disappointment is inevitable given the hardwork the kids (and the parent for that matter) would have put in. But the win is that they learn much early on about the hardwork it takes to do an exam where there is a lot more at stake than a teacher's report saying "performing at/below/beyond expectation". Aside from the evidence you can already see in the schoolwork. The experience will also count when in five year when they come up for GCSE (compared to kids that haven't had that "all at stake" exam experience).

I say lots of positives to take away.
Good luck.

Hi, anyone know roughly how many girls have been invited to Stage 2? Thanks.

My DD is not invited to the stage two test.
Good luck for everyone who's invited to the next stage.
@Toto123, may I ask how many questions your DD left unanswered? My DS is in the same boat this year. I wonder how we will end up. Thanks!

DD also sat this year and she chatted with some friends who took the same test after. They all seemed to have skipped / missed 8-10 questions on the Maths test. I don't know if they will pass of course but they are very strong kids academically so I hope there is still a chance. Good luck for our DDs.

the thing about exams is that you can either make it so everyone will answer all the questions in the set time and come out thinking it was easy or you can make it more testing so few actually finish and it means you still pass even with missing some out. Ultimately there are the same number of places at the school and all the candidates sit the same exam
