Sutton second round maths - preparation tips

I have heard that in second round maths, children are asked to show their working. How to prepare for that? How much working do they have to show?

All working out isn’t essential (unless specified in the question). It’s more about the possibility of part marks if they have shown correct calculations but not written the correct answer.
