According to my understanding, written comprehension comes for Tiffin not for sutton schools.

As above, stage 2 English last year was a written task with no comprehension questions. However, good comprehension skills will come into it as they will read a passage and instructions first and then base their writing on that.

I was looking at the Sutton boys school website and couldn't find any information about 2nd stage exam. May be they will send it with the 1st stage results.
Oneoftwothings - as you said good comprehension skills are also important for the writing task.
