Hi - just starting this new topic to discuss about the waiting list of Sutton Grammar

We are very low on waiting list (below 75 in Open list), being realistic very less hope. any idea how down it goes from previous experiences ? and how long it takes ?

Would anyone be willing to share if they are in same situation like us ? looks like its not gonna move before 15th March.

Thanks - that's really helpful. so it looks like waiting list doesn't go down much and around 30 children left on the list after last offer.

We are in a very similar position in the first 25 on the waiting but out of catchment. My son passed all SGS, Wilson and Wallington and we were offered our local comprehensive school. I assume the list for SGS will change on 15th march when all offers are accepted/declined.

Would like to hear if anyone has been in a similar position. Thank you

Up until at least 31st December, the waiting list has to be held in oversubscription criteria order and any places offered accordingly.

Did anyone face the same situation last year with waiting list of Sutton Grammar which is getting longer everyday ? More children are being added in the list.

So frustrating the list is getting longer!

When would they start making offers now the deadline for acceptance has passed?

Its a new list today on Sutton Grammar website , 2 children less then yesterday. Now total 94 in the waiting list. Looks like they have started offering.

I still don’t get the idea of 2 lists. Surely the postcode ones will be offered first. Sorry if I’m being silly!
