Last year the figures reported for taking stage 2, was 1045.

I looked at the Sutton waiting list, and since they have published the candidate numbers, I can see now how it's encoded.

eg if you candidate number is A110123
A or C (Is the site) 11 (Class room number at site) 0123 (Candidate id, which from that wait list is in range 1-1042)

So If they did the same this year, the number range will indicate the number taking the test.

Using above anyone have a number over 1064?

Does overall number of students taking 2nd stage have any significance? Maybe the proportion of IC vs. OOC, Sep- Dec born vs. Jun- Aug born can have meaningful implications but how is the overall number of any use apart than a range estimate ?

Sutton GS : On average 165 offers were made on National allocation day. Below are how many declined the offer from the initial batch.

Question to those in the know - could this include those who have been offered a higher CAF school via waiting list, and therefore have to actively decline Sutton GS offer in order to accept the higher CAF school?

2017 - 24
2018 - 30
2019 - 39
2020 - 24

Yes I am aware of 2 families in 2020 who took the place as it was offered by council but then declined SGS once they received the higher CAF school when waitlist cleared.

It looks like maybe they just started this candidate number format last year then, and this years range
goes from 1250 - 2300 or something like that so there's no duplicates.

If someone has a number below 1045, this will immediately disprove this theory.

So highest mentioned in thread is about 2200, not go a lowest yet, but seems totally possible to get an idea on the numbers if enough people reply..

I do hope whoever did this randomized the candidate numbers, and they aren't in order of SET stage 1 score..

My son was 2368, what is the lowest candidate number that we know of this year? Just wondering whether they started at a round number like 1500 or 2000 this year?
