Re: Wilson’s Results
Thank you for working this out for me. He got 480 in total for Wilson's but he did not reach the pass mark for the maths. He got 161 out of 166. He scored 219 for the English. Therefore he was way above the passmark for the English.
Re: Wilson’s Results
I konw SGS takes 40% of SET and 60% of stage 2, whereas Wilsons considers 20% of SET. Can you please shed some light on how did you calculate SGS score, based on Wilsons score.

Re: Wilson’s Results
Hi ,
My son also passed SGS and missed Wilsons by his English score, though he managed to get more than threshold £475 marks.
If anyone knows how to calculate his SGS cut-off, please let me know ? It would be helpful to prioritize our CAF form.
Also, if any kids missed wrote Sutton stage 2 exam and missed both wilson and sutton school, please let me know the score the wilsons and sutton score. That would be really helpful for us to predict our score.
Many thanks in advance. Looking forward to hear from you soon.

passed Sutton, but not Wilson
or
passed Wilsons and not Sutton (if that's possible)
I believe you get enough data then at least in the past you did, to calculate rank for WCGS I'll try to do it if anyone PM's the data.
How come different number took stage 2, when the pass mark was the same for Sutton and Wilson?
Sutton 1043 candidates sat the second stage test and 861 met the required standard.
Wilson 1028 candidates sat the second stage test and 614 met the required standard.
SET pass marks posted elsewhere. Not sure if the below is official from school or if the decimal point is missing and its been rounded.
Greenshaw High School: 198
Wallington County Grammar School: 217
Sutton Grammar School: 215
Wilson's School: 215
This is happened to my son, passed Wilson (and Wallington too) but not Sutton……
So should I expected he is JUST passed Wilson and shouldn’t have hope to get a place in any of them?
It makes me can’t sleep

Re: Wilson’s Results
if you post the scores in the Sutton rejection email, it should be possible to estimate your rank
Re: Wilson’s Results
My friend's son did not pass Wilson but passed Sutton and Wallington.
His Wilson scores were:
Maths: 239
English: 172
Overall: 510
Can someone help us to find his ranking and marks for Sutton and Wallington? Many thanks

Re: Wilson’s Results
That should be enough for WCGS as my boys scored similar in previous years and got into WCGS in 1st March. Not sure about Sutton as we ranked it below WCGS on the CAF.
Re: Wilson’s Results
Can someone clarify what Wilson's Set 1 results are for above marks?
His overall score is 510, so if I remove his English (172 ) and his maths score which is (239). I am left with 99 marks.
is 99 marks 20% of his overall scores in Set 1? (That gives a total score of 495 in SET 1. That seems not right as the pass mark for SET 1 was 213 and 495 seems unrealistic)

Re: Wilson’s Results
99 (so just below average) is the standardised score of SET1 from the boys who sat stage 2. The standardised score for SET1 from all the boys sitting SET1 would have been higher.Mumof2_ wrote: ↑Thu Oct 19, 2023 11:05 am Can someone clarify what Wilson's Set 1 results are for above marks?
