SGS/Wilson/Wallington
Hi,
My son has cleared the second round SET for both SGS and Wilson. And also met the standard for WCGS. But it seems they each put through far more students than places available in each school.
Given that he has cleared all three can anyone suggest what are the likely chances he will not get into any of them.

If he has passed all three, the chances of not getting any are pretty slim. In recent years, Wilson’s have offered to rank 400ish, SGS to 650ish and WCGS 900+ (you should be able to find more on this by looking at freedom of information requests to the latter school).
Across the three schools, there are approx. 470 places. The reason they pass so many is many of the same boys also sit for Tiffins, St Olaves, QEB (yes really), etc. And many end up going to independent schools, plus some opting to go to their local school in the end, particularly if they were aiming for one particular school and didn’t get it.
