St Joes is coed vs Abbey being all girls.

I know a number of people, including one of my close friends, with children at St Joes and all seem happy.

Friend’s son did well enough in year 7 to became a ‘science scholar’ but it is worth a few £100 not anything substantial. I’m not sure whether they offer larger ones.

Obviously the fees at St Joes are a fair bit less.

They both have different feels about them, and I suspect cover different subjects.

There is a ‘church’ school element to both. St Joes is Catholic, but not overly so I’m told. Plenty of children of other faiths and no faith.

Abbey I believe offer 10% scholarships for different reasons, such as academic, PE, music, but it’s a while since I last looked.

The websites for both should show this info, they certainly used to.

I know my friends’ son has stayed on at St Joes for sixth form, so they and he are obviously happy with it. His gcse results were very good.

Other than that I don’t know more than I’ve posted previously
