Well, that's it. All the exams we've been working towards since Easter are over!
By all accounts today went well, the school were well organized and very welcoming to all the girls, a teacher actually tried to take DD2 (who's 8 ) into the hall too! DD is fairly happy about how the exam went, she wrote 2 pages on her essay, missed a few maths Q's and thinks the comprehension and VR were "all right"
Fortunately there is not long to wait, the results are posted 1st class this Friday to arrive on Saturday! (If this school can get results out in a week. why do others make you wait months!?) Then, if she has passed, we will have to apply for the bursary we would need; the results for that hopefully coming before Christmas.
So that's it, everything is now totally beyond our control, all we can do is wait and see. Westholme would be great, but the 1st and 2nd choices on the CAF are also totally acceptable. Choice 3 is dreadful, but better than the school we would get if we hadn't put something down and missed out on 1 and 2, but that's not going to happen, not going to happen, not going to happen,

Glad it went well Nathair and she seems already part of the fabric of the school! Wishing you the best of luck and looking forward to hearing how well she did! :D

She's passed!!! :D
The letter says
We have had many more bursary applications than expected so some selection for these will be necessary.

We shall talk to XXXXX informally on her own for approximatley 15 minutes and we will provide a place for you to wait for her in school. No preperation is necessary for the interview. Its purpose is simply for us to get to know xXXXXX a little better in terms of her hobbies and wider interests.

The outcome of the bursary application interviews will be reported to you within seven days.
So now more waiting and nail biting...Arrrgh!

Oh well done Little Nathair!!!!!

Great news WRT the bursary too, at least you have a realistic chance at it, otherwise the letter would have said so!!

Excellent news all round I'd say!!
