11 Plus Exams Forum

Have posted this on the 11+ Essex forum too.

DD 1 took the test for year 7 entry to Brentwood last Saturday. The letter we were given said the results would be to us by 9th Feb but DD was told on Saturday that the results are posted Monday and we receive them sometime this week.

Also it states some year 6 children are asked for interview and these take place next week. I know some of the interviews are for scholarships but why else might a child be asked for an interview?

I also have an older daughter who took the entrance test to go into year 10. Interested to know if anyone has had any success getting in at this level and whether an interview was asked for.


Any information you might have regarding the above would be gratefully received!

Does anyone know if Brentwood will give scholarships and or bursaries to pupils who apply for entry to years other than year 7? I am thinking maybe,in terms of Public Benefit, do they hold any funds back for pupils who move into the area and have to move schools say for example because of parents' jobs or similar reasons?
