11 Plus Exams Forum

Unfortunately my DS did not get a GS place (we will be going on a waiting list monday) and his offer was for an awful comp that i really don't want to see him go to as i feel he is capable of so much more. Our plan B is to send him to one of the above schools- dover college or kent college (in canterbury) and i just wondered if anyone had any info/opinions on these. thanks

can't give any personal advice, but I know parents who have children at both and are very happy with the schools. Would you be moving to the area, or boarding?

Hi he would be a weekly boarder, I've chosen kent over essex because we have a lot of family there to help out if need be (and plus would love to move back at some point lol) I have just shown him both websites and i think he is swaying towards Dover College although i like the look of the other one better and i know DS will go purely on whether they have x-boxes in the common room and a nice gym thanks for replying
