LEH interview
Hi
My DD is due to be interviewed at LEH on Friday. Thankfully one way or another this will be the end of our journey of exams and interviews with only the agonising wait for results to go...
I was wondering if anyone had any advice for the interview (for her and me!) and also possible rewards to give for just taking part in the whole thing.

A few quick thoughts:
Encourage your child to keep a conversation flowing.
Explain it's a chance to show then what they are like.
No need to lie, just reveal their personality.
If they don't say it, they won't know it is my motto.
Find out what is going on in the news.
Be prepared to talk about books, hobbies, holidays, experiences etc.
Might want to think about why they want to go to that particular school.
Teach them to speak clearly and slowly.
Sit nicely.
Look interested.
Good luck.

Tell your DD to ensure she makes eye contact regularly and to smile. Also a minute's thought about an answer is preferable to a 'don't know'. Make sure she can express enthusiastically why she would like to go to this school.
Good luck!

also good to have an answer to the how would you get here question - which we've had a couple of times and which I think is used to work out if you are serious about the school -or if it's just back up. Esp if it's quite far away and they know you are sitting for other indies as they do in the consortiums.
All you need to do is to say 'There's a good bus' or Dad can give me a lift..
also quite good to mention, if you do, that you know someone further up who is happy and has told you how lovely the school is! Makes everyone feel good!
