Cutting Edge - Thursday 11th March

Post by Ed's mum »

Too Poor For Posh School is on at 9pm this coming Thursday. It follows boys trying to get into Harrow. The slant of the documentary is that the families need financial assistance in order to accept a place.

I shall definitely be watching.

Thanks for the tip!

Cutting Edge has done some really great school-related documentaries over the years. I've just set the recording thingy, just in case.

I am a bit apprehensive and don't know if I want to see it as there will be boys featured who won't get in. Coming so soon after my own DC's journey to a secondary school I don't know if I can watch little hearts being broken.

I agree that watching the inevitable disappointment for some of them will be difficult to watch. Actually, if I'm honest, I hadn't really though about that aspect until you mentioned it Bromley Mum. It's tough enough going through this process without having a film crew record it. I hope the children understood what they were letting themselves in for.

Car crash TV - what possible pupose does it fulfil other than allowing tpeople to gawp at thiose poor boys? parents should be asahmed of themselves for putting the kids thru it, and pretty sad that people are setting the recorder  to avoid missing it...
Best Regards,
Thea
