Re: Eton results
At least you can enjoy the Christmas hols, without having the result hanging over you.
If it is bad news, then you know where you are and can move on.
When it is good news, then you can celebrate.

I think they came out on Dec 14th last year.
Re: Eton results
Is this CE, Tipsy? Or some sort of scholarship exam? CE results used to be end of January, back in the day, not sure waiting that long was any better…

No, this is the Pre-test results for my other son. They test in Year6 for a conditional place in Year 9.

Good luck Tipsy, I'll be crossing my fingers and toes for you!

Re: Eton results
Hi WFG ! I am waiting patiently too. I'm rather assuming it will be next week as if it were my name on the decline letters I would post them on the day Eton break for Xmas !! Our Head tells us that he will know "shortly before" we do. Of course I shall be analysing his every word and glance this weekend at the carol service before the boys come home for the hols. Not that its likely to do me any good, he would be an astounding poker player!! Our DS (boarder) is blissfully unaware and far too interested in the end of term swimming, football etc to worry about such trifling matters as senior schools. He did a pretest for another school last week and during the welcome from the Admissions chap (the bit where he said "you will all be nervous and its perfectly understandable") I whisper asked DS if he was nervous. His response was "No, it cant be any more difficult than the Eton test so why worry". Oh well there's always Harrow next year ! Good luck to you and your DS. Lets hope for the best (although i fear the worst). What time is TOO early to hit the wine when faced with a decline? Hic !
