Hi, anyone got a letter of interview from north london coliegate?

In my excitement I ended up starting a new thread, didn't see there were a couple open already.

We got the interview letter today.

We got an interview. Does anyone know the statistics of how many selected for interviews for how many external places?

600 apply, call about 200 for interview, 60 places.

So that suggests a VERY good chance of a place.... how many do they offer?

Most seem to do 2-3 times the number of places they've got... Im guessing they'll be offering 120 or so, given they'll be top of lots of people's lists.

I think only they'd know that. They wouldn't reveal it because that would mean we would all know how many turned it down and no school likes that. I wouldn't imagine it to be as high as that, though but I could be wrong.

We have heard from a prep school "in the know" that if one gets an interview at NLCS, the chances are high that a place is offered, i.e. it is an offer for you to lose.

Any thoughts from experience or knowledge?

We've got an interview letter for DD! FYI, they don't offer too many more than spots available. They used to offer about 25 more but about 8 or 9 years ago everyone said yes. They had to add another form. Total chaos for about a month after term began. Congrats to those with interviews. Tell your DDs it is very unstressful. Yummy biscuits, current yr 7 girls and parents to answer questions (me included) and a nice chat with a teacher. Everyone comes out smiling.
