I am not too worried, but my son is going to independent school in September. I read a lot on this forum, about children being prepped to go to these schools. He passed the test, but i worry about him not having the head start, as the prepped children have. About 2/3 come from maintained schools, and about 1/3 come from the junior school of the school he is attending. Although my son is bright,is there anything i could do to make sure he is up with these prepped children? He is reading lots of books, listed by the school, and some mathematics the school has set. I do not want him over doing it,but i do want him to be at a level pegging. Maybe i am worrying unnecessarily....Any advice.Thankyou :)

You are worrying unnecessarily. Let him enjoy the summer.

don't worry - they will all "shake down" and find their own levels in the first year.
