Mysterious parting of deputy head with responsibility for pastoral care. Anyone know why?

I agree, it all seems very strange - and rather abrupt. Even the letter to parents, regarding the departure, sheds very little light and is actually rather curt - considering how prominent a position it is. Appears to have left under a cloud - as the post has not been filled or even advertised - something that would never have happened for a planned departure...
