preparation for Habs girls

Post by sunshine007 »

I am new to this forum. Can anybody suggest the papers needed for preparation of Habs girls? Also they say it will be Verbal, English and Maths. But what type of Verbal will be asked? Will it be more literacy based?
Thanks in advance.

There are no past papers, but all standard VR and English and Maths sold in the shop on this forum will help you. It is next day delivery so really easy. My dd's found the English and VR papers really easy compared to DAO but the Maths paper needs preparation for timing. DG

Sunshine, not sure if you are aware that Habs try hard to identify where intensive preparation was done (often known as tutoring) and rightly so. At interview stage, they are often able to tell and once they become convinced that this was the case, nothing can change their mind.
Having said that, I would certainly want to make sure that my DD is comfortable with all the VR styles.

I know several children who were tutored and are at Habs. The interviews are robust but most children can also be coached on the interview process.

I know one child who is in HABS and had 3 tutors. Don't think anyone on the planet can tell if a child has had a tutor by interviewing them.

Are the habs boy's past papers a good indication of what to expect? Has any one any idea of the format and standard of the girls paper.

What if one of the questions asked was 'have you had a tutor?' ??? :?
