Hello everyone. My son sat the Hampton 11+ this morning and is upset because he managed to miss off two out of six comprehension questions (he ran out of time and the two he missed were worth 4 points each). He thinks his maths went well and I wondered if anyone has experience of these types of exams and how they are marked/weighted? I am trying to cheer him up as much as I can. It is the first exam he has sat. Thanks!

klt117,
I hope your son is feeling better. My son did the Hampton 11+ entrance exam last year and came out saying it had been very hard and feeling he had done terribly, specially with the maths. But he was offered a place first round anyway (which we didn't take after all). He still says that out of all the exams, Hampton was the hardest. All I can say is that when an exam is hard, it is hard for everyone! Hope this helps and good luck.
