Post by Kate P »

My DD is in Bromley High, my youngest wants to join the Senior school. Does anyone know if siblings have preference?

They do an information afternoon for year 4 and year 5 parents where they explain the process. It is an automatic 'pass' through the school into the senior school for all girls in the Junior school, it would have been evident by the time they are in year 5 if they were not really suited to the school and found they were already looking at other schools that weren't selective. My DD who is at Bromley High had a number of girls in her class who left during year 4 for various reasons including they knew it wasn't the right school for them. I don't know the number of girls who stay on from Junior school into the Senior school, a good number stay but a significant number also choose to leave to go to grammar schools and other independents. In the Junior school they only have two classes per year but in the Senior school they have four classes.
