Any ideas how to answer this in an interview?

Do you think they really ask this question?
My dd was asked about her interests and from there the 'interviewer' held a conversation on her interests. It's a difficult question to answer as a grown up and these are 11 year old children, as the schools well know.
I doubt very much the question will arise.

I tend to agree with SnowDrop. It seems like an odd question for people purporting to be specialist in educating children of this age to ask.
That said, I have heard stories about clever-dick questions at these interviews. Not searching socratic type questions, but just the silly stuff that a newly minted MBA might expect at an interview with a consulting firm. Frankly, I don't want people with that attitude/mindset educating and influencing my child anyway!

How about: "I am not very patient, particularly with people who ask facile questions"

can be food, sports, movies, etc as well and does not have to be related to academic subjects

Cross the school off your shortlist if they ask this of a ten year old.
Or are you a teacher? I always thought 'my tendency to have uncontrollable violent temper tantrums' would be a good one then.

I wouldn't expect this question to come up for a 11+ interview more for a university/job interview:lol:
For this as the first poster said. Give a "bad" point but turn it around into a positive, eg perfectionist tendencies but this would mean that I pay close attention to detail and and do the best that I can.
My daughter was shown pictures and asked what was going on, and the usual ones- what's your favourite subject, what are your hobbies, do you have any pets, tell us about your family, do you like maths or english more etc.
