MTS Interview and Offer

My DS had been interviewed by headmaster at MTS. I am just wondering does it make any difference?
Does it tell anything about the chances of getting an offer?
And, the interview letter stated that there may be questions from the passage or maths however he has been asked more science /general knowledge type of questions. I am keen to find out are all the children asked similar questions or would that differ child to child?
Please help to put us out of our anxiety.

One of my twins was interviewed by the Headmaster, but don't know whether that makes any difference or not.
But the other twin was not. In both the cases they were not asked any question from any passage or so. Mostly general knowledge type things I understand.

Hope that helps. :)

Other parents might throw some more lights.

It doesn't matter who interviews the boys. They have a team of senior teachers who conduct the interviews. Can't offer any views on why some are asked targeted questions and others more general ones sorry.

Sorry meant to say also my DS wasn't interviewed by Head and he was offered a place.
